This is your space to vent your issues with the world. Share it with the world, because chances are there a helluva lotta other people that hate it too!

It's important you are familiar with our Usage Terms. You must agree with these in order to register for an account.

How do I create a Topic?

Enter your Topic on the home page. Click a suggestion for a more refined and concise version. Then click the Create button. That's the arrow pointing right.

Is there a limit to how many Topics I can create?

Nope! Plus, your first three Topics are completely free!

Why must I pay to create more topics?

We understand that you hate a lot of things, we do too! But we don't want a few people to unnecessarily flood the platform - we want to keep it open for EVERYONE to complain!
It also encourages you to think carefully about the Topic you're posting (is your hate ephemeral or eternal?). You can always pay to keep posting more Topics!

Can I edit or delete my Topic after submitting it?

Nope

How does the voting system work?

Simply click the DownVote button on whatever you hate. That's it.

Can I leave comments on Topics?

Comments cost USD1000 per 127 characters.

Why must I pay to comment?

Simply, we want to keep commenting exclusive to people with a vested interest in the Topic. Being that this platform is based on something that is already upsetting you, things could spiral out of control pretty quickly otherwise!

What kind of posts are allowed on downwith.baby?

On DownWith.Baby, you can hate anything - we don't mind! Public figures, companies, concepts, organic material... voice your gripe! We also match your Topic with similar concepts, making it easier to find what you hate.
Your Topic should always be as brief yet descriptive as possible - see our suggestions for ideas on how to create a proper Topic!

Do you remove Topics/Will you remove my Topic/Why did you remove my Topic?

We fully encourage free speech. But we will remove your Topic if it:

• Is Garble - the Topic was completely nonsensical and we could not decypher your mystery
• Is Ambiguous - the Topic could mean multiple things or refers to multiple subjects
• A Duplicate - the Topic is exactly the same or very similar to another Topic
• Encourages Unlawful Activity - the Topic encourages users to commit crimes or unlawful activities

How can I ensure my Topic is not removed?

Follow these basic guidelines:

• Make sure your Topic is clear and concise, and well thought-out
• Be specific, but brief
• Avoid adjectives - once you're describing the Topic, you've veered off track
• Refer directly to the thing you are thinking of
• Consult the Suggestions to better understand how to phrase your Topic
• Consult the Suggestions to see if your Topic or a similar Topic already exists
• We know you're upset, but don't encourage other people to commit heinous acts. Only air your grievence, do not allude to anything!

What happens if I post something offensive or inappropriate?

We generally don't care about subject matter. Just don't be hateful.

What is the platform's stance on free speech?

While we encourage free speech, we don't encourage hate speech or anything that could get you into legal trouble. We've added some boundaries to help ensure you're safe.
We know you're upset! But don't be hateful!

Are there premium features or subscriptions?

Can users earn money by posting?

A portion of the comment fee is paid to the original Topic creator each time a comment is added.

Is downwith.baby available as a mobile app?

We do not have a mobile app, however our platform is fully responsive and will work on your phone without any problems. You can always add a PWA link if you like!

What personal information does the platform collect?

When you sign up, we store your email, username and date of birth - the latter to ensure you're 13 or older.

How does downwith.baby protect my data?

Your data is always yours. We don't share your personal details with anybody. If you delete your account, all your personal information goes with it. We will keep any Topics you've created and voted on.

Will my posts be linked to my real identity?

All details in your profile are completely private. Whether you are creating a Topic or voting on one, your identity is always anonymous. We do not currently provide a mechanism for making your profile public.
Usernames are only displayed when commenting - this is to ensure transparency and also provide validation of the commentor.

Do I need to create an account to participate?

What information is required to register?

We need your email, username and date of birth. We also need you to confirm your email. (go away, bots!)

How do I reset my password?

Go to your Stuff, Security, Reset Password.

Can I delete my account?

Yes you can. Just Report an Issue

Are there plans to expand platform features?

We are constantly developing and releasing new features and bug fixes to ensure all users have a stable and enjoyable experience.
